Silja: le mystère d'une carrière

 

Si vous vous souvenez de la silhouette gracieuse d'une jeune femme à l'allure d'une étudiante suédoise passée dans l'émission "Dance Machine" en 1994 qui chantait "How could I find love?" alors vous êtes prêt à redécouvrir la carrière de Silja.

Cette chanteuse mystérieuse a fait carrière en France dans les années 90 en sortant 3 CD 2 titres de dance-music, un album était prévu mais à priori il n'est pas sorti, pourtant Michael Cretu d'Enigma a participé à son premier single. 

Quelques années plus tard en 1998 on la retrouve en muse trip-hop variétoch' indé avec "J'efface et j'oublie" un titre très artistique et accrocheur suivi d'un album dans la même style.

Puis la jeune femme franco-américaine semble disparaitre mais discrètement elle apparait dans les années 2000 sur le projet bossa nova "Nouvelle Vague".

Il semble que Silja, de son vrai nom Celia Gruss soit repartie aux Etats-Unis faire sa carrière d'artiste, en tout cas sur son site officiel on découvre que depuis elle est actrice et voix-off pour des publicités ou des projets indépendants.

This mysterious singer made a career in France in the 1990s, releasing three dance music CD Singles. An album was planned, but it apparently never came out, although Michael Cretu of Enigma contributed to her first single. A few years later, in 1998, she found herself as an indie trip-hop variety muse with "J'efface et j'oublie," a very artistic and catchy track, followed by an album in the same style.

Then the young French-American woman seemed to disappear, but she discreetly reappeared in the 2000s on the bossa nova project "Nouvelle Vague."

It seems that Silja, whose real name is Celia Gruss, has returned to the United States to pursue her career as an artist. At least, on her official website, we discover that she has since become an actress and voiceover artist for commercials and independent projects.
